Vector ist ein proprietäres Futures-Foil mit einer konkaven Oberfläche auf der Innenseite der vorderen Finnen. Speziell beim Vector verläuft die Konkave von der Basis bis zur Spitze der Finne, was die Wasserhaftung und den Auftrieb erhöht.

WAS IST EIN 3/2
3/2 ist eine Ergänzung zum Vector-Foil, bei dem die obere Hälfte der Finne zusätzliche 3 Grad Neigung und 2 Grad Toe aufweist. Es gibt eine spürbare Drehung im Foil, die den Gleitwinkel bei schärferen Anstellwinkeln verändert und Auftrieb sowie Halt weiter in die Kurve hinein erzeugt.

LEISTUNGSVORTEILE DES VECTOR 3/2
Das Vector 3/2 ist eine verstärkte Speed-Generating-Finne, die durch maximale Wasserhaftung auf mehreren Gleitflächen Auftrieb erzeugt und den Widerstand verringert. Die kombinierten Effekte der konkaven Oberfläche, von der Basis bis zur Spitze, und die Drehung in der oberen Hälfte der Finne sorgen für ein einzigartig positives Gefühl von Grip und Projektion. Bei kleineren Wellen ist das Gefühl der Geschwindigkeitsgenerierung flüssig und offensichtlich. Mit zunehmendem Wellengang sorgen die Wasserhaftung und die zusätzlichen Auftriebseigenschaften für eine kraftvolle Verbindung in den Kurven und erhöhen die Geschwindigkeit von einer zur nächsten, was zu schnellerem Surfen und besseren Kurven führt.

VORTEILE DER SCIMITAR-TIP
Die Scimitar-Tip ist die abgeflachte Kante der Spitze an der Hinterkante der Finne. Durch die Reduzierung der Länge der Schablone wird die Haftung der Finne verringert. Das 3/2-Foil ist darauf ausgelegt, Auftrieb und Geschwindigkeit zu erzeugen, daher wurde die Oberfläche an der Spitze reduziert, um den Kurvenradius zu verkleinern, als Ergänzung zum 3/2-Foil. Diese Schablone bietet viel Oberfläche an der Basis und maximiert das Potenzial der Foil-Eigenschaften durch den Körper der Finne. Die finale Verbesserung an der Spitze sorgt für das gewünschte Gefühl des Loslassens aus der Kurve.
SCIMITAR-TIP: Als letzter Bestandteil des gesamten Vector 3/2 Sets wurde die Vorlage der Mittelfinne speziell so gestaltet, dass sie Schub in die Kurven bringt, während der Widerstand verringert und der Kurvenradius verkürzt wird. Die spezifische Anpassung erfolgt im Spitzenbereich, mit einer raffinierteren Scimitar-Form, die schmaler als die Seitenfinnen ist und nur einen Hauch mehr Rake aufweist. Die Hinterkante hat eine tiefere Innenkurve, die die obere Hälfte der Finne verlängert und etwas mehr Flexibilität bietet. Während die Ästhetik der Seitenschablone ähnelt, sorgt die verfeinerte Mittelfinne für die perfekte Reaktionsfähigkeit, um die konstruierten Elemente des Vector 3/2 Foils an den Seitenfinnen zu ergänzen.

Über die Marke

Futures Fins wurde 1996 in einer Garage in Kalifornien gegründet.

Die Gebrüder Longo waren bekannt für ihre Arbeit an anspruchsvollen Teilen für die Luft- und Raumfahrt und die Herstellung von Wasserstoff-Brennstoffzellen für die Forschung, aber 1996 beschlossen sie, ihr technisches Know-how mit etwas zu verbinden, das sie liebten: Surfen. Für sie war es schon immer sehr wichtig, vor Ort zu bauen, und so können sie bei Futures in Huntington Beach innerhalb weniger Stunden eine Finne erträumen, entwerfen, schneiden und surfen - und das alles unter einem Dach. Mit dieser Fähigkeit entwickeln sie ihre Designs ständig weiter und schaffen neue Gefühle und neue Erfahrungen. Diese neuen Innovationen mit anderen Surfern zu teilen, ist der Antrieb für ihre Hingabe an den Fortschritt. Als Innovatoren sind sie bestrebt, sich zu verbessern und sich niemals zufrieden zu geben. Jede Welle ist eine Gelegenheit, sich zu entwickeln, zu lernen und zu wachsen. Surfer reiten seit Hunderten von Jahren auf den Wellen, und mit großem Respekt entwickeln sie ihre Surfausrüstung ständig weiter, indem sie das Feedback der besten Surfer und Shaper der Welt nutzen. Sie lernen gemeinsam weiter, damit sie den Surfanfängern bis hin zu den Weltmeistern das richtige Produkt und klare Informationen zur Verfügung stellen können, damit sie ihre Ausrüstung leicht einstellen können. Aus diesem Grund investieren sie ihre Ressourcen in Tools wie The Ride Number und eine Reihe von eigenen Ingenieuren, anstatt sich auf die nächste auffällige Werbekampagne zu verlassen.

Sie glauben, dass dies der Grund ist, warum Surfer auf der ganzen Welt Futures als die ultimative Quelle für außergewöhnliche Performance-Surfausrüstung betrachten, die von Surfern für Surfer entwickelt wurde. Es geht darum, authentisch zu sein, den Status quo herauszufordern und für die Weiterentwicklung ihres Sports einzustehen. Manchmal geht es sogar darum, über das hinauszugehen, was sinnvoll erscheint, weil sie glauben, dass sie ihre Grenzen nicht finden können, wenn sie nicht versuchen, sie zu überschreiten. Deshalb waren sie die ersten, die einen vorlaminierten Flossenkasten herstellten, der seine Stärke aus dem Glasfasergewebe bezieht. Später, als Surfer die Grenzen von Wellen testeten, die nicht mehr paddeltauglich waren, waren sie die ersten, die steife, stabile Big-Wave-Flossen entwickelten. Sie entwickeln weiterhin neue Produkte wie Alpha und Tools wie Ride Number. Und das ist erst der Anfang.

How can I rent your shaping rooms?

For just €50 per half day (6 hours) we offer you our fully equipped shaping bay in Munich. It includes a shaping room, a sanding room and a laminating room, all equipped with the necessary machines. Consumables are charged separately, but we have all the important shaping materials in stock to save you unnecessary delivery times and to provide you with high quality and sustainable materials.
